Wake Up, Wake Up! (2018 Demo)
Words and music by L. Diaz (17 Nov 2025). The lyric invites you to step outside, feel the cool earth underfoot and breathe — celebrating simple things, elemental wonders and the freedom of being an energetic being. Lyrics
Fears set aside and false obligations shown the door, it’s time to ride — the magic carpet is where you’ll soar. The chorus keeps repeating the invitation to take a step forward and go. You’re the rocket breaking free, liking exactly what you see high above. The bridge brings a spark and a flame, a place where you’ll smile again.

Wellington Demo Session (2018/2019)
A set of tunes engineered and recorded in Wellington over 2018 and 2019. Running time: 02:55.
Curiosity (2019 Demo)
Find a map, point your finger and follow your curiosity — the world isn’t such a big bad place; it’s flesh and bones like you and me. Digging deep turns up treasure, hidden truths and philosophy, buried knowledge that leads to our quickening. The bridge hopes we’ll learn to love ourselves, then our neighbours, embracing the great blue ball of many people.
Freedom Is A Road (2019 Demo)
When darkness sets in and troubles spin your head, you wish the dawn would light the sky and drive your struggles away in the blink of an eye. The chorus reminds us that freedom is a road to the other side. Loving what is means letting go of the baggage that leaves you in doubt — freeing your mind, living in kindness, being your truth and living no lies.
Headlights (2018 Demo)
Running time: 02:43.
All Is Fine (2018 Electric Mix)
All is fine when we’re in time — from waking as light shines through the blinds to closing weary eyes at day’s end, taking in the wonders you’ve seen, because what is past makes way for what will be. The song lingers on a lover’s eyes, a hand held on a long train ride, and a heart that knows what the day brings, making hopes and dreams real. The bridge asks you to remember just how you feel inside, right now.
How Do You Make A Great Love? (Electric Demo 2019)
How do you make a great love, and how do you keep things flowing like the calmest seas, holding the tempest at bay? The chorus wonders why we make it harder than it has to be, and suggests we can keep our dignity and sanity by simply being. The lyric recalls walking on solid ground until the walls came down and familiar structures crumbled, leaving ruins in their path, before a bridge offers a tabula rasa of growth and a different kind of lightness.
My Truth (Demo 2018)
I speak my truth not because I want to but because I have to — that’s what I do, and how about you? The song declares it isn’t here just for breathing, earning a buck or playing games and hoping for luck: it’s going to be me, free me, and not be stuck. Salvation is sought, but not to be saved by another — it comes from inside, not from the grave.
Everyday Song (2019 Demo)
Written in 2007 by L. Diaz, then recorded and engineered on 12 April 2026. Everybody needs an everyday song to get through the everyday throng of birth, death and the in-between. The chorus repeats that everyone goes away. Each day builds a karmic bridge to people all around, forging a trail to walk along, and it’s not unusual to feel spent and needy at the end of the day. The lyric warns against blaming others when you’ve lost the glow, and urges care for your soul.
