Unearthed this very raw demo recording from 2009 and have just cleaned it up with a bit of audio engineering. Was basically a placeholder Garageband recording so I would remember the words/structure to the song. Song tucked away and hasn't been performed for ten years. The guitar was a Crafter traveling guitar.
Troubled Hearts and Troubled Minds (2009)
Distant drum and distant hymn
Closed the door left trouble in
Distant land so far away
We cross oceans to get away
---
Ch:
But troubled hearts and troubled minds
Will never disappear until we face
All that we fear
---
Seems we're prepping constantly
To have and to be seen
On the surface we're doing alright
But we're having trouble sleeping
Most every night
---
Distant drum and distant hymn
Open the door let sun shine in
Eventually that sun comes around
And it makes a different sound
---
Ch:
But troubled hearts and troubled minds
Will never disappear until we face
All that we fear
