Story

These are the first song lyrics that I'd ever written. I hadn't learned an instrument at the time. I titled it 'Everyday Song' and put down the verses but never a chorus. When I began playing guitar about 10 years later, I found the lyrics in an old notebook and the chorus was born quite quickly. 'Everyday Song' became a real song.

Lyrics

Everybody Needs An Everyday Song To Get You Through The Everyday Throng Of Birth And Death And In Between For Most Of Us The Average Scene Well, Everyone, Yeah Everyone Goes Away Everyone, Yeah Everyone Goes Away Everyday, I build a Karmic Bridge With Links To People All Around Good Or Evil I Forge A Trail That I Have To Walk Along It's Not Unusual At The End Of The Day To Feel Spent And Needy In Some Way Feeling Passed Along On The Conveyor Belt Of Human Trouble And Pained Self-Doubt Well, Everyone Yeah Everyone Goes Away Everyone, Yeah Everyone Goes Away Everyone Goes Away Someday Can't Blame Others When You've Lost The Glow The Way To Play Or Treat Your Soul Toil And Tumble And Fall In Line Losing Track Of What's Divine Well, Everyone Yeah Everyone Goes Away, Yeah Everyone, Yeah Everyone Goes Away Yeah, Everyone Goes Away Someday Everyone Goes Away Someday Everyone, Everyone, Someday
