Manuka Hunnies

Sweet and edgy vocals, spirited and inventive fingerstyle/slide guitar, original songs and compositions - This is the Christchurch-based Manuka Hunnies, the musical collaboration of award-winning songwriter, Lynette Diaz and award-winning fingerstyle guitarist, Susan L. Grant.

Conceptualised in 2010 as an all-female collective of musicians, founding members, Susan and Lynette, have remained the roots of this free flowing Alt-Folk/Alt-Country/Americana creation.  In May 2018, the Manuka Hunnies will go back to the beginnings and feature a night of intimate and introspective original songs and original instrumentals from their song catalogue. Joined on stage for a select number of songs by a cast of collective 'Hunnies'- Argene Flack (Bodrain/Irish Whistle), Sophia Bidwell (Accordion/Harmonies), Nicole Reddington (Cello), Alex Bidwell (Cello/Harmonies).

From seasoned tunes and new material, interspersed with a select number of Manuka Hunnies infused cover songs. Expect to walk back into the night’s air with a sense of thoughtful wonder.
